Yes, we are accepting new patients at this time, both children and adults.

Availability will always change a little, but the average for a new patient appointment is 1-2 weeks. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please let us know when you turn in your paperwork.

Are you a free clinic?

No we are not.  We do accept patients without insurance, and offer a sliding fee scale program that patients can apply for to see if they qualify for a discount. There are nominal fees at each level of the slide.

Are you a walk-in clinic?

No we are not a walk in clinic, an appointment is required, however most days we can do same-day appointments. Our Dental program does offer emergency-walk-in services.

Please complete the records release form in the new patient packet and we will request your records from your old medical provider for you.

How can I apply for the sliding fee scale program?

To apply for the slide, please submit a sliding fee scale application plus proof of household income for the past 3 months.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Do you take Maine Care for dental services?

Maine Care will cover dental services for children.  Maine Care will only cover limited dental services for adults.  When a dental service is not covered by Maine Care, patients are encouraged to apply for our sliding fee scale to see if they are eligible for a discount.

Are you in-network for my insurance?

New patients are encouraged to contact their health insurance company before their first visit to see if we are listed in your network.  We will be happy to bill any insurance on a patient’s behalf, however patients will be responsible for out of pocket costs after insurance pays

How much will I have to pay at my first visit?

If you have health insurance and have a co-pay, your co-pay is expected at the time of the visit.  In some cases we may need to bill your insurance first, and send you a bill later.  For patients applying for the slide, the minimum slide fees are expected at the first visit ($5 Medical/$10 Dental).  Once your paperwork has been processed we will send a bill for the difference. (if any)

What happens if I need medical advise after hours?

Nasson Health Care utilizes an after-hours-nurse triage service that can help you  with many  of the issues you may want to call about. The service can also contact an on-call provider if necessary.
